The project comprises the remodeling of a second-floor apartment overlooking the traditional Parque Forestal in downtown Santiago.
The original building was designed by León Prieto Casanova in 1969 and is characterized by its facade of mosaics and hanging planters over the sidewalk.
Even though this was a minor renovation, it implied a great shift in the way of inhabiting the same spaces, as hairdressing space had to be incorporated into the daily routine.
Thus, two bathrooms were joined together to create a deeper one that could accommodate a hair washing station, while a special area for haircuts was designed in the living and dining room.
The kitchen remained where it was, but was completely redesigned to make better use of the existing layout.
