E2E Headquarters

E2E is a company of industrialized construction which was developed in a sector of an old factory for construction materials. The proposal was to recycle a warehouse, increase the green areas and locate the new offices next to a group of existing trees. Through a two-story compact volume and closed to the industrial area, the new building seeks to integrate nature into the work space by completely opening one of its facades to the largest garden area.

From a regular 12 x 12 mt floor plan and a 1.2 mt x 1.5 mt modular grid, a mass timber structure was developed based on a framing system of coffered beams and CLT paneling. This system allows to reduce the sectioning of the beams and achieve larger and more flexible interior spaces.

The wood structure is left exposed to the interior, while the exterior combines a glass curtain wall that uses the timber columns as mullions and a ventilated facade of fiber cement plates and lattices of the same material used in front of the service area. Thus, the building exhibits the main materials that make up the E2E production, such as fiber cement and wooden structures.
