Bendjerodt House

This project is the transformation of a house designed by architect Gonzalo Domínguez in 1965, found in the neighborhood of Jardín del Este, contiguous to Lycée Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, a school in Santiago’s Vitacura district.

The ground floor was entirely remodeled and the second floor was extended while maintaining the L-shaped perimeter structure.

Common areas were maintained in the ground floor, with the kitchen being the anchor space of rotation, allowing the passage between the living room and a small family room which also works as a gym.

Simultaneously, the kitchen is aligned with the dining room, the terrace and the grill station, forming one great transversal space that moves from the interior to the exterior.

On the second floor, spaces were organized in a democratic manner, providing the greatest possible functionality.
