57STUDIO is an architectural firm founded in 2002. Its partners, Maurizio Angelini and Benjam\u00edn Oportot, are both architects from the University of Chile. Their work has been published, exhibited and awarded globally. In 2004, they won the XIV Chilean Architecture Biennial and were selected as part of the Chilean exhibitors to present at the IX Venice Biennale. In 2016 they were awarded the First Prize at Casa FOA, interior design exhibition in Chile. That year they were also recognized at the X BIAU Ibero-American Architecture Biennial. In 2018 they won the Best Object Design Award by Chilean ED Magazine. Their work seeks to maximize the relationship between the building and its context. This search is developed through a design process with a technical and constructive approach, harmoniously combining form, function and materials.<\/p>\n

Since 2007 he has been a member of the board of directors for companies that include Elemental S.A., Inmobiliaria Las Salinas Ltda., AntarChile S.A. and Empresas Copec S.A. Between 2005 and 2012 he was a Design Project professor in different architecture schools. Before beginning his studies in 1996 he had experiences linked to graphic design, architectural photography and music.<\/p>\n

Graduated with the project “Chile\u2019s Museum of Caricature”, which was awarded first place in the XIII Santiago Biennial. Oportot has been a professor of Design Project at different architecture schools and since 2012 he is an assistant professor at San Sebastian University. His hobbies are drawing and music.<\/p>\n
